Fathers day special - "the golden armour of life..."

 The Golden armour of life

He stood alone in the dark against them all.  He don't want his head bowed, as he was never taught to do so. Only words he refused to criticize from his dad was, "let yourself be beheaded, other than holding it low, because...a coward dies a hundred times but the brave dies only once! ". His fists were clenched and heart beated fast, as he was "a coward" , but didn't want his head low. Now he regrets for leaving his home in anger to his life story's villain, who was striking the hot metal to make it the best weapon against the growing odds of the world. Now the dark people were heading close and all he could do is to hope his death not to be too brutal. Fear was overpowering his fake bravery camouflage. Rain poured in, to hide the cold chills of helplessness which has started flowing through his closed eyes.
Suddenly he stopped feeling the rain drops falling on him. He opened his eyes to find himself covered by a shadow. Not the shadow of the dark, shade was of his dad. Now he felt the strongest, as on his side was the golden armour of a villain and warm cover of a hero.

Never loose the golden armour of your life....

THE FULNESS OF LIFE - EDITH WHARTON

A SHORT STORY... THE FULNESS OF LIFE - EDITH WHARTON Story theme : "About a lady who didn't find the love of her life while she was alive , finally finds him in after life... " For hours she had lain in a kind of gentle torpor, not unlike that sweet lassitude which masters one in the hush of a midsummer noon, when the heat seems to have silenced the very birds and insects, and, lying sunk in the tasselled meadow-grasses, one looks up through a level roofing of maple-leaves at the vast shadowless, and unsuggestive blue. Now and then, at ever-lengthening intervals, a flash of pain darted through her, like the ripple of sheet-lightning across such a midsummer sky; but it was too transitory to shake her stupor, that calm, delicious, bottomless stupor into which she felt herself sinking more and more deeply, without a disturbing impulse of resistance, an effort of reattachment to the vanishing edges of consciousness. The resistance, the effort, had known their hour o...

Happy Independence day ~ WHAT HAS CHANGED IN INDIA, SINCE THE INDEPENDENCE?

WHAT HAS CHANGED IN INDIA,  SINCE THE INDEPENDENCE?  The journey of India from 1947 to 2019 is quiet an adventurous one, with lots of ups and downs. If we look sideways, its a bit broad too. When we look at the graph of India's growth, it may seem 2 dimensional, But actually it has breadth along with the length and height. Not all cultures, castes, religions, economic groups and so on, have faced their ups and downs equally. India has a broad classification of citizens. Rich, Poor, Believers, Atheists, Strong, Weak, Literate, Illiterate, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and hundreds and hundreds of more divisions lie across the holy grounds of India. So its impossible to analyse this never-ending, three-dimensional graph of India's growth. Then what were all those articles about India's growth and changes telling us? All those are just the incomplete surveys from people who themselves aren't sure about the changes they have experienced. India's g...
