 ABOUT INDIAN YOUTH & DEVELOPMENT

In terms of youth population India is ranked no.1 in the world , however , India has been ranked 133rd out of 183 countries in the 2016 Global Youth Development Index (YDI) compiled by the Commonwealth Secretariat . The Global Youth Development Index report measures countrie's prospects for young people in employment , education , health , civic and political spheres . Their are almost 18.9 million jobless people roaming around , wasting their education and skills , in India (2019) . It was 18.6 million in 2018 , so the rate is increasing every year . Let me add something more , Around 1.46 lakh people were killed in road accidents in India last year . And globally, road traffic injury is the number one killer of adolescents aged 15-17 . In terms of sheer numbers , India has more road accidents deaths than anywhere else in the world – here one person dies in a road accident every four minutes . Indian youth is also an emerging drug abuse champion in the world .

However , by this we can't conclude that our country's youth is the worst among other countries . Our nation is also home to , some of the most talented young minds in the world . Acoustic singh or Jairaj Kabir Singh Manchanda and Ajey nagar or Carry Minati , who are successful youtubers at ages 17 and 18 respectively , Anand gangadharan and Mohak bhalla , creators of Walkie Mobi Chargers , Ankad daryani , creator of first 3d printers in India . Also , there are lot of successful actors and actresses in India who are still not 18 , like Bhavya gandhi , Avneet kaur , Anushka sen and hundreds more . Kautilya pandit , a young genious with IQ of 130 POINTS at age 10 . We have a 16 year old author , Melita Tessy (book ; battle of the spheres) . Who doesn't know Prithwi shah ? an 18 year old dynamic cricketer , already has a lot of records under his credit . Shravan and Sanjay kumar , developers and founders of GODIMENSION'S app development company , aged 14 and 12 years are the youngest app developers and founder of Godimension company , and so on... Thus , Indian youth is not that bad all across!

 UNEMPLOYMENT

Image result for indian youth

Unemployment simply means joblessness . As you read above , its increasing every year and this can become a major reason behind the lagging of the time , when India would become a superpower !! For unemployment to be swept out , there are many ways , and the basic way is to produce as much job opportunities as possible so that there is a balance between the qualified youth and job positions . And encouraging them to start new businesses is another effective way , as it produces even more job opportunities . Working 80 hrs a week for a few months and then enjoying the life would be far more better than enjoying it for few months and then working 40 hrs a week for the rest of your life .
Today , it's a common scene in Indian households , youths getting discouraged by their parents relatives about starting a business . The myths are spreading like a wild fire that 99% of the businesses are flop and the 1% left are the only ones we see today prospering . But they never try to find why businesses fail and correct it , thus becoming successful in the field . India is a country with the second largest population in the world , and is considered as the best market  all across the globe . Every other country is using this fact to increase their revenue . If we manufacture something in India we don't need overseas tax , etc. and thus can provide attractive discounts , so that the customers come to us more . We believe in all those horroscopic and astrological stuffs , can't we believe in us and work hard to establish a business? Now you have become aware about b , why businesses are so scopeful . Another dimension of this business thing that keeps away common people from it is the investment . The time has changed guys , you don't need heavy investments to start a business at present . Its as easy as creating an account in any of an active social media !

 GOLDEN ERA OF SOCIAL MEDIA

We are fortunate enough to live on earth in the golden era of social media , where social media is a great option to bring you business to new heights . People are actively busy in social media for about 2 hrs everyday on an average , and thus making that social media platform the best place to showoff your business and marketing skills . It doesn't require any capital investment an attracts effectively . All you have to do to become a successful business person is to find a problem and solve it for everyone . Like Amazon solved the problem of people who were fed up of going to supermarkets and carrying a load home , like whatsapp solved the problem of people who were fed up of slow and complex messenging apps that required a lot of data and time for communication , etc. Find a niche , build it and expand it .
Our youth are using the internet a lot but not in a productive manner . There is a lot of scope in freelancing in the present world . There exists a lot of company's which doesn't judge you by your degree but by your skills . So develop a skill and start working on any of the freelancing sites . I would recommend you Skillshare and Udemmy for developing a skill and freelancer.com for working as a freelancer . There are a lot of people who are making the most out of it .

 UNDER EMPLOYMENT

Underemployment also known as Over staffing or Hidden Unemployment , refers to highly skilled workers who, for different reasons, are working “underemployed” in low-skill, jobs and it also refers to workers working part-time who would like to work full time . Let me add a bit more practical meaning to it . Won't it also include students who studied in big institutes , spending lakhs of currency and then working for low wages . That is what is gonna be seen in future . Most of us will spend a lot of money on our studies and end-up having a low-paid job . Afraid to make investments on business ideas , but ready to throw money just because the neighbours are doing so . Pay for courses which would have scope in future and not on those which are currently in scope , because India is changing its mindset and requirements very fast , and these factors are proportional to the future job scopes . Analyze about what you can do after completing the course you are gonna pay for and go for it , if and only if it gives you an income that would level up the money you lost , in few years of working . Study and specialize in subjects , that keeps your heart and pocket filled at the same time . Choose a carrier which would be in great demand in the future , so that you won't be forced to become the prey of underemployment .

 HOW TO FIGHT UNDEREMPLOYMENT?

Now, as you know the meaning of underemployment and are thinking about ways to deal with it , I would like to give you 3 tips .

#1 Keep in check that the skills you pursue will exist in demand in the future too . Keep doing side hustles that require your hard-earned skills , if you are already underemployed because of any reason .

#2 Keep updating and modernizing your skills , as it will help you become the best available option for those who want your skills to be hired .

Happy Independence day ~ WHAT HAS CHANGED IN INDIA, SINCE THE INDEPENDENCE?

WHAT HAS CHANGED IN INDIA,  SINCE THE INDEPENDENCE?  The journey of India from 1947 to 2019 is quiet an adventurous one, with lots of ups and downs. If we look sideways, its a bit broad too. When we look at the graph of India's growth, it may seem 2 dimensional, But actually it has breadth along with the length and height. Not all cultures, castes, religions, economic groups and so on, have faced their ups and downs equally. India has a broad classification of citizens. Rich, Poor, Believers, Atheists, Strong, Weak, Literate, Illiterate, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and hundreds and hundreds of more divisions lie across the holy grounds of India. So its impossible to analyse this never-ending, three-dimensional graph of India's growth. Then what were all those articles about India's growth and changes telling us? All those are just the incomplete surveys from people who themselves aren't sure about the changes they have experienced. India's g...

Fathers day special - "the golden armour of life..."

The Golden armour of life  He stood alone in the dark against them all.  He don't want his head bowed, as he was never taught to do so. Only words he refused to criticize from his dad was, "let yourself be beheaded, other than holding it low, because...a coward dies a hundred times but the brave dies only once! ". His fists were clenched and heart beated fast, as he was "a coward" , but didn't want his head low. Now he regrets for leaving his home in anger to his life story's villain, who was striking the hot metal to make it the best weapon against the growing odds of the world. Now the dark people were heading close and all he could do is to hope his death not to be too brutal. Fear was overpowering his fake bravery camouflage. Rain poured in, to hide the cold chills of helplessness which has started flowing through his closed eyes. Suddenly he stopped feeling the rain drops falling on him. He opened his eyes to find himself covered by a s...
